Jody completed her physiotherapy training in 1999 and has been part of the physiotherapy team at Kinetics since 2010. Jody developed a keen interest in managing paediatric musculoskeletal injuries and successfully achieved a postgraduate qualification in Child Health in 2016. She then went on to complete her Master’s degree researching the injury burden of over-training and early specialization in youth athletes. Her research was published in early 2020 in the peer-reviewed Journal of Science and Medicine in Sport, and she was invited to contribute a chapter on this topic for a book titled “Myths of Sport Coaching” published in December 2021. Jody continues to be actively involved in youth injury research, currently working with NZ Rugby to pilot a concussion management programme in community rugby players. Jody is an important member of our Senior Leadership Team at Kinetics that meet weekly to help support all staff in our mentoring and new graduate programmes.

Jody was born and raised on the North Shore and now lives on the Hibiscus coast with her husband and two children. Jody has a life-long love of sport and the outdoors, enjoying boating, fishing, snow sports, touch rugby and hockey.
